Vision, Mission, Goals
Vision: The Leadership Institute will be a world-class facility devoted
to enhancing decision making through the critical study of history.
Mission: To advance the understanding of historical events, encourage
leadership development and inspire enlightened decision making by
providing a forum for critical thinking through scholarly research,
exhibitions, and public programs.
Goals: To tell compelling stories of leadership. To introduce
historical topics in each exhibit, and to encourage study and debate
concerning the leadership traits illustrated by the story. To include
artifacts, papers, dioramas and interactive components, appealing to
visitors of all ages, interests, and educational backgrounds. To produce
temporary and traveling exhibitions creating opportunities to expand
the collection by including stories from other individuals or groups. To
provide public programs with scholars to present seminars and lectures.
